How do different spring packages change my coilover suspension?
The spring code - an example
FA 70-170*
We would like to use this example to explain how to understand our spring code.
70 = Spring rate
170 = Length of the unloaded spring
* = It is a high-strength spring, made of a material with a higher load capacity.
Explanation of terms
Spring rate
The spring rate indicates how much force (in KG) must be applied to the spring in order to compress it by 10 millimetres. The higher the spring rate, the harder the spring. In this example: At a load of 70kg the spring is compressed 10mm.
Lower spring rate = The spring frequency will be lower, the vehicle becomes softer / more comfortable and lowers more with payload.
Higher spring rate = The spring frequency will be higher, the vehicle will be stiffer/sportier, and it will not drop as much under load.
Length of the unloaded spring
In the example 170.
Longer spring = The vehicle can be set higher and the spring has more permissible travel.
Shorter spring = The vehicle becomes lower.

Which wheel bolts do you use?
Please fill in:
Where can I find information about my wheel bolts / wheel nuts?
You're using aftermarket wheels, so we need additional information about your wheel bolts or wheel nuts. You can usually find this information in the documentation that came with your wheels.
Otherwise you can identify your used wheel mount as follows:
mounting type
Execution
thread and shaft length
(only for wheel bolts)
seat
wrench size
Take the socket you use to change your wheels. You can usually read the wrench size of your wheel bolts/nuts from there. Common wrench sizes in Europe are around 17 or 19 mm.

Please check before use whether the wheel bolts / wheel nuts are suitable!
